Playboy Ji-woong is a loser who can't find work. He lives in a cheap roof apartment and has five months rent arrears. He gets money from his mother. The day his mother turns off the money tap, he meets the stingy Hong-Sil. Hong-Sil lives in the same neighborhood as Ji-woong and lives very frugally to save money. When they learn that the neighborhood is undergoing renovation and each tenant will receive 7 million South Korean won to move out, Hong-Sil thinks he has found a new way to make money.
