"Only unmasked kidnappers spell trouble"
In 2011, French author Michel Houellebecq suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth when he had to show up for a book promotion tour of Amsterdam, The Hague and Brussels. Almost a week later, he resurfaced, using the excuse that he had "forgotten" the tour. It was never entirely clear what the real reason for the author was not to be heard, which contributed to the myth of the person Houllebecq. In this film it is comically explained why the author and enfant terrible of French literature suddenly disappeared.
