Happy Camp plot

"There's no place like home."

Walt and Sandy Tanner adopt 9-year-old Michael who they raise with their son Dean in the small community of Happy Camp, a mysterious mountain town known for its high missing person rate. The two boys immediately get on well and for the first time in his life Michael has a family. Two years later, however, disaster strikes when Dean is kidnapped on October 22, 1989. Michael, who was in the same room, is the only witness, but strangely enough has no memory of it. Twenty years later, the grown-up Michael has the courage to face his past and tries to remember what happened to his brother on that fateful day.
