Father Figures plot

Canadian filmmaker April Butler's father is madly in love. But 73-year-old heart patient Dale is fifty years older than his girlfriend Girlie, who lives in the Philippines. Confused about this situation, the film-maker – herself twice as old as her possible future stepmother – follows the new couple. Her observations, which she expresses both on camera and via voice-over, are interspersed with one-on-one interviews with Dale, Girlie and family members.
