Atlas plot
Renowned French Magnum photographer Antoine d'Agata shows a parallel world of prostitution and drugs, with worn-out bodies and wandering souls in Cambodia, Russia and India. The bodies of whores and junkies become featured sculptures in this journey through the underworld. Bodies alive in suspended animation, exhausted, surviving client to client and shot to shot. The voices of the women are heard in the voice-over. One furious at the world, the other still hoping to be discovered, "like a jewel in the dark."
