The Last Song before the War plot

This documentary takes us back to the cradle of modern popular Malian music. An annual festival was organized in the middle of the desert under the most unlikely circumstances. Until extremists occupied the region and music was declared taboo. The history of the festival is told by festival director, Manny Answar and the musicians and travelers who came to the festival from far away.
