The film in which the stand-in of Bela Lugosi from Plan 9 from Outer Space still received a full film role from Ed Wood. Obviously, this film is very unmistakably Wood-esque. The observant viewer should not miss the too small WANTED poster in the police station. Because who figures there with his head? That's right, the director himself! I forgot how high the reward was on that poster, but it can never be much of course.

It's nice that Criswell is back and Lobo shows up again; reason for a party. Furthermore, the typical Wood rarities; forest, fog, undead, shooting irons and a few screem queens. It doesn't amount to much, and there's not much useful to report about it, apart from the fact that the film is still fairly amusing despite all its flaws.

1.5*.

Film was only taken off the shelf in 1982; until then the production costs had not been paid by (the heirs) Wood.

In the review. The last attempt by Ed Wood Jr. to make a real movie. Charming try again, unfortunately with a very simple story. Some highlights of course, especially the seance is of a level like Wood Jr. she can think of, Dr. Acula, a victim with an Angora sweater and the director himself on the wanted poster in the police station. By the way, start with Plan 9 from Outer Space or Glen or Glenda which are even more bizarre.
