The Silent Mountain plot
"An intense film about war and its nature."
The young Tyrolean Anderl Gruber finds his first love in the Italian Francesca Calzolari, but that same day war breaks out between their homelands. The young couple has to deal with the First World War. Anderl has to report to the front, which is located in the peaks of the Dolomites, and Francesca finds herself surrounded by the enemy. Will the couple be reunited or will the war keep them separated forever?
