Foto-Eddy: De Negatieven van Mijn Vader plot

Documentary Photographer Eddy de Jongh, famous for his 'heads' in Vrij Nederland, led a turbulent life. He narrowly escaped the persecution of the Jews, his parents and the rest of his family were murdered in the war. After the liberation an adventurous life followed with five marriages and a lot of alcohol. But Eddy de Jongh was above all a versatile and successful photographer who left behind an impressive oeuvre. Through his photos, his son David looks at his complex father and the time frame he sketched of a changing Netherlands between the fifties and eighties: a world full of humour, endearment and beauty.
