The Happy Sad Route (and a Comedian) plot

A personal road movie in which the Dutch comedian Jan Jaap van der Wal travels through the former Yugoslav countries. In recent years, a small group of comedians in the region tried to set up a comedy scene. It turned out to be no easy task: the public is scarce and there is certainly no money. But perhaps most importantly, the comedians and their audiences share a recent history that is hard to joke about.
