About a young priest who pierces condoms in order to increase the birth rate and thus prevent the parish from dying out. The first half hour is entertaining. In that half hour, director and writer Vinkos Bresan succeeds in dressing the plot with a lot of playfulness and humor. Nice puns and successful situation comedy. It sparkles. The film also does not hesitate to ridicule the Catholic faith somewhat. Quite funny, that half hour.

Then there is nothing left of the sparkling atmosphere. Everything that is playful, absurd and funny has been wrapped up in the first half hour. What remains is simply no longer funny. The film fails to remain fresh and playful. The ideas are gone. What follows is forced humour that is mainly annoying and makes the rest of the film a particularly long-winded exercise. I was very glad when the film was over.
