"It's a long fall from high society"
The story is set in the circles of the British aristocracy in the 1930s. Tony and Brenda Last live in an amazing estate and welcome an acquaintance who has lost his capital. In return, this man begins an affair with Brenda. Tony doesn't realize until Brenda confronts him that she wants a divorce.
