The film is based on two true stories about two women who are engaged in a battle for fifteen years. Annie Parker, like her mother and sister, is diagnosed with breast cancer. Meanwhile, geneticist Mary-Claire King, after many attempts, discovers the BRCA1 gene and its link to breast cancer. A discovery that will make a permanent difference.
