Colouring Light: Brian Clarke – An Artist Apart plot
The work of artist Brian Clarke is one of Britain's best kept secrets. He makes large paintings, but especially beautiful stained glass works. Clarke is not yet well known to the general public, but lovers of his work can be found all over the world among art critics, gallery owners and collectors. In this documentary, Clarke returns to Lancashire where he grew up as something of a child prodigy in a working-class family. He talks about his first artistic successes in the late 1970s and how he became the favorite stained glass artist of some of the great architects of our time, including Norman Foster and Arata Isozaki.
