A fifty-year-old housewife has gone through menopausal depression. Her husband advises her to buy a dog to take it for a walk, but instead she looks for work and gets a job in a factory. When she joins a strike with her female colleagues, she is the first to be fired, but then she has won a new self-consciousness.
