Ôsone-ke no Ashita plot
The Osone family has no father figure and they struggle through the wartime as a result. The father has passed away and the mother is dependent on the support of his brother. This one is extremely supportive of the military, which clashes violently with the ideas of the deceased brother. Without further ado, he tries to influence the political views of the family and goes so far as to even adjust the interior of the house accordingly. The war - and not only through the influence of the brother-in-law - has an increasing impact on the family.
