"The pit wants what it wants"
The holy well has spoken. Dawai, the potter of a community in the hinterland, has placed the face of the person who wants to sacrifice the well on a ceramic jug. Ada, who is pregnant with her brother, sees her face on the pitcher and flees into the woods to save her unborn child. But if she doesn't sacrifice herself, the creature will crawl out of the well and kill everyone in the village.
