Cinderella II: Dreams Come True plot

In Cinderella 2, the mice from Cinderella's castle actually play the leading role. Because these rodents are bored, they ask the fairy fairy to tell the story of Cinderella. When the story is over, they always want to hear another one, but the fairy doesn't have it. So they decide to make a book about the stories of Cinderella and about themselves: in the first story, Cinderella returns to the castle with the prince. However, the prince is not allowed to stay with the king. In the second part, Cinderella has to organize the spring festival again and in the third story, her stepsister Anastasia falls in love with a simple baker. This is unacceptable to the stepmother who will do anything to stop it. Fortunately, Cinderella and the little mice come to her aid.

Even though it's a combination of three short films, I found it entertaining to watch, except for the second story (in which the mouse Tom becomes human). I especially liked the third story in which Anastasia and Cinderella make peace and Anastasia also finds her prince,. This ultimately led to the creation of Cinderella III. The first story in which Cinderella is taught how to be a princess, also seems very realistic to me. She's just a common girl who knows nothing of protocol. In this film, she's much more rebellious than in the previous film, but she endures things much more and relies more on the mice for help. I also find this a positive, as well as the fact that she always remains close to the common people.

Not bad. Three short stories that could have come straight out of a TV series, and they vary considerably in quality. The first is decent, but nothing more than that, and the animation is mediocre. I don't even remember the second story. It's a bit of banter without really getting funny. But the third story, featuring the stepsister, strikes the right tone, is sometimes quite beautifully animated, and is a pleasant watch as the final one. A combined 2.5 stars.

A reasonable sequel in which the mice string together three short stories.

The last story evokes the most sympathy, but the second is the funniest.

All three have something to offer. They never reach the level of the original film, but they manage to keep it entertaining and the stories captivating.

Fun for once, but not a high flyer.
