Tag der Idioten plot
Carole Schneider is a beautiful woman, has no shortage of money, but is not satisfied with her life. At all costs she tries to attract the attention of her fellow human beings, but she does not even get the attention of her friend Alexander. She is so tired of the cold and emptiness of this world that she regularly cries out: 'Kill me!' However, such provocations have no consequences. Only when she begins to falsely accuse people of terrorism and becomes a suspect herself, is she admitted to a psychiatric hospital. There she shares her own fantasies with the delusions of other patients, until she can no longer distinguish between reality and madness.
