This documentary about Enzo Avitabile, his music and Naples stems from the mutual admiration of two artists and from the fact that Jonathan Demme has followed Avitabile's music for a long time. He is an authority on world music and is best known for his passion for research and the experiments he conducts with it. Demme tells not only the story of the 'queer' artist who was Avitabile, but also the chronicle of the city of Naples, including all its treasures and contradictions.
