Act of Dishonour plot

Mena, a young and beautiful bride lives in a remote village in northern Afghanistan. Out of respect for deep-seated, conservative traditions, she and her fiancé have little contact, yet they feel a special bond. Her friendship with Afghan-Canadian translator Mejgan, who is a member of a Canadian film crew, opens a window to a new world for Mena, but her foray beyond the boundaries of the established order puts her in danger.
