The Last Ride plot
America, 1944. The prominent Joe Taylor discovers that his car tires have been stolen. Joe is now desperate as it is difficult to change tires due to the rubber shortages caused by the war. But then Joe's friend Harry Bronson gives him the phone number of an illegal tire dealer and a short time later Joe gets four new tires. After these tires are installed, Joe drives his girlfriend Molly Stevens and Harry Bronson and his girlfriend Hazel Dale at great speed to a nightclub. During this fast-paced ride, Joe and Molly are killed when one of the new tires bursts.
