The Halloween Tree plot

Four kids are ready to celebrate Halloween but they miss their best friend Pip. Pip turns out to be sick and has to be taken to the hospital. The four think it's Pip's joke when they see his ghost running through the woods. They give chase and end up at Mr. Moundshroud's haunted house. This mysterious man gives the four a crash course on Halloween and its traditions.

Focused Halloween film with extremely outdated animation, which sometimes even makes it confusing to create sympathy for certain characters. For example, it remains fairly unclear whether Mr. Moundsroud should be seen as a kind of ally, or as the villain, because the animation seems to constantly change his facial expressions. When it comes to content, The Halloween Tree relies mainly on creativity and less on content. The ideas are original enough and make for an unpredictable film, but the progress the children experience is not very convincing and is finished a bit too hastily. Still, there is a nice atmosphere and The Halloween Tree is over before you know it, the younger film viewers will certainly find this an exciting film.
