The Levelling plot
Clover Catto is a veterinarian in training when she hears the news that her brother has passed away. Arriving at her parents' house, she learns that her brother's death was probably a suicide. The house has also turned into a ruin due to the floods. Clover must come to terms with her past and with it the relationship with her father, who is not the best. She also tries to find out what happened to her brother and mourns his death. Clover's emotional journey will change everything.

Somerset, October 2014. Veterinarian Clover [Ellie Kendrick] returns to the family farm after a long hiatus after her brother Harry takes his own life. Harry was about to take over his father Aubrey's [David Troughton] farm. Old remorse and questions about the reasons for Harry's act of desperation cause a growing tension between father and daughter. Well played, beautifully filmed, but mostly downright depressing drama with an unsurprising, melodramatic denouement.
