Ik Zie een Verre Reis plot

Documentary by Fidan Ekiz, which follows her younger sister Ferihan and her lively friends Busra and Sinem. All three were born and raised in the Netherlands. Like many young Turkish Dutch, they dream of a future in Turkey. Fidan tries to find out their motives and, in addition to an understandable love for Turkey, also discovers a hidden sense of bitterness. During a trip to Istanbul, Fidan tries to understand and change her sister's mind, but it turns out not to be so easy.
