Saibogu 009 plot

During a car race, Joe Shimamura loses control of the wheel and is fatally injured. His body is instantly stolen by the sinister organization Black Ghost, who replace all his organs with mechanical components. Joe's bones, muscles and skin are then reinforced with artificial materials. When Joe wakes up, he discovers he has super powers, never gets tired and can breathe underwater. Joe is the ninth cyborg to create the organization and is therefore called Cyborg 009. Just as the organization is about to recruit Joe, the first eight cyborgs rebel against their creators and flee with Joe to a secret island. Black Ghost then uses everything to get the cyborgs back.
