Reporter Larry Doyle is rewarded for helping to round up the Pardoni gang, but loses his job as a result. He is framed there to prevent him from making a statement about the criminals. When he is forced to move to take a job in a neighboring town, they try to hinder him there too. A weapon he brought to the pawn shop is used by crooks in a crime.
