AIDS: Vluchten Kon Niet Meer plot
Exactly thirty years ago the disease AIDS made its appearance in the Netherlands. The documentary looks at how KLM's flight crew came across the HIV/AIDS outbreak. The very first globally described AIDS patient was a Canadian flight attendant. He had many changing contacts, traveled the world, got AIDS and died. It looks at the Dutch situation, and in particular at their national airline. What happened to the flight attendants, pursers and ground staff of KLM during the AIDS outbreak? This is the first time that this group has been specifically examined. How was their beautiful life - the world of Peter Stuyvesant - shattered by a mysterious, terrifying illness? Many people involved have their say. Former KLM employees, doctors and relatives show how the disease struck and what the consequences were.
