Insensibles plot
Set in Catalonia, Insensibles connects two stories: in the first, which begins during the Spanish Civil War and continues through the 1960s, a shelter tries to rehabilitate children who cannot feel pain by teaching them physical suffering. In the second story, set in the present tense, a brilliant neurosurgeon in need of a bone marrow transplant uncovers his dark past as he searches for his birth parents.
