Marshal Len Merrick saves Tim Keith from his lynching and hopes to take him to Santa Loma, where he can be sentenced. New Roden, whose son Ed was killed by Tim, still wants revenge. They travel as fast as they can to their destination to prevent Tim from being killed again.
