"The world's most deadly virus, now now unleashed on man"

A mysterious, deadly virus has broken out in Los Angeles and is spreading at lightning speed. The young, passionate doctor Marissa Blumenthal is charged with investigating this epidemic. When she is unexpectedly removed from her post and more and more people worldwide are dying from the virus, she becomes suspicious, after which she decides to continue the investigation on her own.
