Santa's Dog plot
"He's making a list and sniffing it twice."
The main character is the dog Hercules. Santa bestowed upon him the title of "Maker of the Good and Bad Children List." It is Hercules' duty to select one child from the naughty list every year and give it a chance to get on the nice list. But the chosen child has to prove it's worth it. This year, Hercules has chosen an orphaned boy named Max Moogle, an adorable 12-year-old boy with a talent for making things go wrong and who dreams of being part of a loving family.
