Hara ga Kore Nande plot
Mitsuko is an eternally optimistic woman who always tries to help everyone around her. One day she meets an American, starts a relationship with him and follows him to California. There she becomes pregnant by him, but he dumps Mitsuko and she returns to Japan. There, her parents think she still lives happily in California with her boyfriend. Unmarried, penniless and nine months pregnant, Mitsuko is thrown out on the street. Yet she continues to think that everything will be all right.
