Inferior work, yet another Alien clone, this time set in a London warehouse, where a poorly designed alien creature is causing chaos. The annoying protagonists live far too long and in terms of plot there is really nothing positive to say at all. The menacing soundtrack is still quite nice, but director Johannes Roberts, previously responsible for the reasonable 'F', constantly misses the point here. Ridiculous final shot too, by the way.

This was on TV and I decided to give it a try. He was a bit disappointing. The film started off quite TV-movie-like and looked like one too. The story wasn't that special either.

It's not all that special.

Director Johannes Roberts' films became increasingly larger in scale and of higher quality, Storage 24 is one such case in which you can clearly see the relevant progress. Nevertheless, as a whole it has rather little tension and an ugly made-up monster, it will always escape me how you plan to scare with an obvious animal suit. Still, the film wins some points with the location, which looks quite atmospheric and is therefore used well by Roberts. The sequence in the air shaft specifically stands out positively, but the clumsy portrayal of the monster and the restless structure ensure that it is not oppressive as an experience. Some directors manage these types of creature flicks perfectly, but Roberts clearly still had some experience to gain. The ending comes relatively randomly, but for me that is secretly the appeal of this film.
