Whoever stands on Dam Square in Amsterdam is surrounded by history. The past, source of stories that tell who we are, can be read in every stone. If we follow the river Amstel, to which the city owes its name and fame, from the center, we arrive at a cultural landscape that is no less old. If you pass under the ring road, you will see the greenery of trees, historic country estates and meadows with cows. The city is suddenly at a distance, the lobes of Buitenveldert and Amsterdam Zuidoost seem like a different world, we are in farmland.
