Stockholm, late 1970s. Political neutrality and nuclear power go hand in hand with women's emancipation and the sexual revolution. But beneath the polished surface, other desires are eager to be satisfied. Cynical and gloomy film about a political scandal that doesn't quite come out well. The acting and appearance of the film are well done. Still, I never really felt connected to the characters anywhere. Everything remains very distant and yet also a bit superficial.
The length of the film also doesn't help.
However, the abuses that are addressed in this film are relevant and for that this film deserves compliments below the line, however, it was a bit disappointing to me.

Slick cinematography, fine music and a story that is completely told through the events, not through dialogue or any explanation. The disadvantage is that it was not entirely clear to me which politicians were involved (the role of the prime minister in particular), the advantage that you are never taken out of the film under the guise of historical accuracy. Good last scene too. Call Girl is a more than fine film.
