"A search for night on a planet that never sleeps"

A documentary about 'the loss' of the night. After moving to New York, filmmaker Ian Cheney asks himself a simple question: Do we need stars? This question takes him to different countries, in a search for answers. He consults astrologers and scientists and encounters 'light pollution' in a world that never sleeps.
