The best film I have ever seen. I followed it in German this year. I did not know that it was also translated into Dutch. Fortunately I do not need it. But I really think it is the best film that portrays how survivors are left behind when a loved one ends his/her life. It is dedicated to the survivors who have lost a loved one to suicide. In Germany, 10,000 people commit suicide every year. And many are left with big questions. A top actor. Who has won a major prize in Germany and rightly so! Worth 5 stars!

A compelling German television drama shows the effect of the suicide of depressed Sybille [Julia Koschitz] on the family. Lars [Wotan Wilke Möhring] is constantly arranging matters surrounding the funeral, his work and the police investigation. Teenage daughter Maike [Matilda Merkel] searches for a demonstrable explanation for her mother's desperate act, while her little brother [Nick Julius Schuck] does not understand it all. The three perspectives are well developed and the acting is excellent. The central message that harmonious grieving begins by sharing emotions and thoughts is effectively incorporated into the script of this excellent grieving drama.
