It is 1971 and communes and new religions are emerging. 'The Source Family' is a mysterious and extraordinary group of 140 young, beautiful people who walk through Los Angeles in colorful robes and serve their 'Father Yod'; a controversial restaurateur who is now a spiritual leader with fourteen women and his own psychedelic rock band. The family lives in a mansion and runs a popular restaurant on the famed Sunset Strip. They serve vegetarian dishes to musicians and movie stars and become forerunners of a national trend. But their radical lifestyle puts them in the sights of the authorities. Their demise is dramatic and painful, but Yod's spirit lives on...
