Das Haus der Krokodile plot

The Laroche family lives in an old, creepy mansion. When the parents go on vacation, eleven-year-old Victor and his older sisters Cora and Louise are home alone. While walking through an old room, the boy discovers in an old, dusty cardboard box an ancient African mask and a small stuffed alligator with empty eye sockets. In the dim light of the darkroom there is also the soft ticking of an old grandfather clock. Victor is suddenly paralyzed with fear when a dark figure flutters across the room from a large mirror behind him. Is it a burglar or a ghost? He then stumbles upon a mysterious case of a disappearance...
