Island of Lost Men plot
Singer Kim Ling, daughter of a Chinese general accused of rigging government money, arrives in the Straits Settlement, a British East India Company territory in Southeast Asia. There she meets Gregory Prin, a half-blood who smuggles weapons and heads a community in the jungle. She agrees to accompany him in search of her father, with Kim having reason to believe that it is Prin herself who is holding her father captive.
