1823. Franz Schubert is terminally ill. He is still in the hospital, but soon he will be allowed to leave. Vienna is full of life, but for Schubert it is difficult to step back into everyday life. He feels a certain distance from his grandmother and old friends. And he finds misunderstanding even with the girl who probably infected him with syphilis. Nothing is like before the first outbreak of his disease.
