Mijn Marko plot

Fifteen-year-old Esmée lives alone with her mother, who only pays attention to her new boyfriend. She gets to know the calm Bosnian Marko through her expressive friend Ljilja and falls in love with him. However, he turns out not to be as reliable as she thought. The hopeless love story is told from Esmée's point of view. Dragged along by the group and her feelings for Marko, she finds herself in a situation where she must make a choice one way or the other.
