The story is not that exciting. The action, on the other hand, does.

Some scenes were really badly acted. An actor then reacts in a way that makes you as a viewer think: WTF, why are you reacting like that, that doesn't fit the situation.

The most disturbing thing is the sheer number of clichés. Everything is highly predictable. Also the high "We love America" content bothers me. America does everything right, and the rest ruin it, according to this movie.

The camera work is very good. Everything is portrayed very nicely.

This film falls short to be top notch. 2.5 *

My goodness, what a mediocre dialogue. What a clichéd event, and yes if you let real Seals do the roles, then you shouldn't expect great performances. As for that part, let go and let go. It also doesn't matter.

But holy hell, everything looks fucking cool outside of the story. The action, the tactics, how the men behave in the combat situations, the equipment, oh my fucking god, war never looked so tough and kick ass. That scene where the SEALs are on the run with the freed CIA agent and get cover from the patrol boats, oh man, it looks nice how they are shooting everything to rags. The action is in that sense super realistic and that is ultimately what this film is about. Other than that, nothing about this movie counts. They are real Seals and the action looks lifelike. Based on the first part comments a 2, but because of the super tight action I make it a 3.5.

We generally agree with the critics on the film sites about the dialogues, luckily the action with accompanying preparations is the main part of the film and the roles next to the Navy Seals are filled by real actors, so that makes it a bit fairly normal level.

The decoration, the technical implementation and the materials are of a high standard. Indistinguishable from the real thing and we have seen quite a few of these types of films and series pass the screen in recent years. In that respect (action and accompanying material) this was a film on a lonely height! That will also have helped to get the ratings on IMDb, for example, at 6.5 by more than 67,000 viewers. Even my girlfriend was impressed and thought it was an exciting movie, while normally I always have to watch this alone.

Brave of directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh to use real Navy Seals for "Act of Valor".

Hence a spacious 7!
