Het Verdriet van België plot

Belgium, during the Second World War. The story of the young Louis, who survives despite war, hypocrisy, lies, oppression, his collaborationist father and his embittered mother, who makes amends with a German officer. Louis has a talent for writing and partly because of this he knows how to distance himself and still have fun in life.
