The Day of the Roses plot

On January 18, 1977, as every morning, the slow train leaves Mount Victoria for Sydney at 6:09 am. As always, the train is packed full in the morning rush hour. Just before Granville station, the train derails and drills under a bridge, which collapses on it. It will be Australia's worst train disaster, killing 83 people.
