"Can a cat be more loved than a daughter?"

80-year-old Isadora lives a comfortable life with her beloved Enrique in her modest but elegant apartment in Santiago and they enjoy their two cats. Their lives are disrupted when one day Isadora's daughter Rosario comes to visit with her female lover Hugo. Isadora discovers that her memory is rapidly deteriorating. During an apparently relaxed dinner party, she desperately tries to hide her condition from her greedy drug-addicted daughter Rosario.
