In Darkness plot
It is 1943 when the Polish city of Lvov is occupied by the Nazis. Poverty reigns. One day, the selfish thief and burglar Leopold Socha (Robert Wieckiewicz) encounters a group of Jewish refugees and hides them for money in the labyrinth of the city's sewers. At first he is only interested in the lucrative business, but later it eats more and more at Socha's conscience. The Polish petty thief comes to his senses and ends up risking his own life for the refugees.
