Mai, a traditional rural ribbon dancer, has arrived in Saigon for the dance school. After her nerves fail Mai during his big audition, she meets Kim dancing with Saigon Fresh, a local group that participates in international competitions. However, when Kim shames herself, she leaves the group and falls in love with Hai. Meanwhile, Mai has an affair with the captain of Saigon Fresh.
