"Be hard be brave"
'Les Bien-Aimés' tells the story of a mother and daughter who both lead rather tumultuous love lives. In the first period, we first follow the life of the mother, Madeleine, in the 1960s when she wants to follow her beloved Jaromil from Paris to Prague. However, the arrival of Russian tanks in the city separates them and Madeleine returns to France. Then we make a leap of thirty years. Madeleine's daughter, Véra, has grown up and is madly in love with a London man, Henderson, who proves unable to reciprocate her feelings.
